A 12" Rule by I & D Smallwood, Birmingham, Eng. An advertising rule which the company produced for its own benefit. Old yellow paint with black writing. The reverse side has six small pictures, a combination square, a folding rule, a torpedo level, a machinist's rule, a bevel square, and a try square. A nice addition to a collection of rules. Good++

An Advertising Cordage Rule, marked John Roebling Company. The rule was manufactured by Kerby & Bro. NY, NY. The Roebling company were builders of many bridges, including the famous Brooklyn Bridge, which at one time was considered the 8th Wonder of the World! Some slight staining otherwise Good++

A Boxwood 4 fold Dipping Rule for measuring liquid in barrels. Brass fittings.To measure "standing" and "lying" casks. This rule measures a Barrel ST & LY, a Kilderkin ST & LY, a Firkin ST & LY, and a Pin ST & LY. The Barrel was a standard cask of 36 gallons. The Kilderkin was a medium cask of 18 gallons. The Firkin was a small cask of 9 gallons. The Pin was the smallest cask containing 4.5 gallons. Good+ $165.00
